Bodog Casino Awards WSOP 2010 Seat
August 30, 2009
Bodog Casino has become one of the first sites to send a player to next year's World Series Of Poker 2010 main event in Las Vegas after concluding its Mini Poker Series recently.
There were 13 Mini Poker Series events in the run-up to the final contest with players earning their seats by placing in the Semi Final Tournament or by being in the top ten of the competition's leaderboard.
Of the 82 players that qualified for the final, John 'Getn_Outa_MI' Ormsby came out on top and won the $12,000 package into next year's WSOP.
From the US state of Michigan and only 25-years-old, Ormsby revealed that he has been playing online poker for only four years, mainly taking part in limit hold'em cash games on Bodog.com or other sites.
"I hope to go out there early and play in a couple of other events first," said Ormsby.
"I've never played in the WSOP before. I was in Vegas years ago when I was younger but it was before I played poker. I know there are also lots of juicy cash games around town to play in during the WSOP and I'm looking forward to all of it.
"I think it's every poker player's dream to win a WSOP bracelet but I don't see myself playing poker professionally. I would rather keep it as a hobby at this point."
