Carlos Poker Moves to Microgaming Software
January 09, 2009
Following the termination of its agreement with Playtech's iPoker network, Unibet owned Carlos Poker has announced that it will be migrating over to the Microgaming network by the end of the month.
The move sees Carlos Poker join its parent on Microgaming where the company says it will be able to take the development of the poker room to the next level.
In a statement regarding the move, Nils Anden, Head of Poker for Unibet Poker and Carlos Poker said: "Since most of our players have already had great experiences with Microgaming, we expect the transition to be smooth. As a company we also have great respect for Microgaming and we admire their innovation, professionalism and forward thinking."
It is thought that Carlos Poker will benefit from the greater flexibility offered to it by Microgaming, however player liquidity will be significantly lower than that offered by iPoker.
Petter Nylander, Unibet's CEO, offered an optimistic view of the transition. "We are confident that Carlos Poker will continue to be a vital brand in the poker community, offering that little bit of extra service to the players, always going that extra mile in offering the ultimate player experience," he said.
