Everest Poker made their team up the old fashioned way. They went to their player pool and selected their best to compete for the team. That move has payed off after two of the ladies that competed in the Women's World Open II both placed in the event.

The two were the only representatives of Team Everest Poker to compete in the event, and while they both fell shy of winning, they still represented well. Stefanie Bergener finished second and Maria Maceiras finished third.

Bergener is a player from Germany. She won $22,000 for her second place finish. Maceiras, from Spain, took home $15,000 for finishing third. Both players took different paths to becoming members of the Everest Team.

Maceiras has been on the team since last year. She has become one of the best players in Spain and has won two legs of the Spanish Championship. That is a feat that has never been done before by a woman player.

Bergener just joined the team six months ago when she won their Live the Dream promotion. She received a $100,000 contract and has now competed at one of the top tournaments in the world.
