Hollywood Poker congratulates Hungarian big winner Pinter Mark, who took down the 2011 Greek Poker Tour on February 13th at the Concord Card Casino in beautiful Vienna, Austria. A total of 36 poker players ended up in the money, sharing EUR 158,590 in prize pool and with Mark taking home EUR 21,100 for the win.

Seven Greeks made the top 17 poker players on the third day of GPT Main Event. The seven compatriots gave their best for the title but only two of them, Thanassis Laliotis and Akis Vergitsis, were able to reach the final table. However, they were the first two blockades of the final set. Akis lost on the first raise, making a call with an A-7 against an A-K; but Thanassis lost through a worse call. The whole table passed while the Greek player made up from the cut-off by 8-3. His opponent made a call as the flop opened an A-7-8. Thanassis made a bet before the turn opened up a 3. His opponent showed a set of 8's, which gained him the pot. With few of his chips left, Thanassis still decided to play with a K-7, but was finally crushed by his opponent's K-Q. He finished in 9th place for EUR 3,170.

"The Greeks gave fierce competition! Now it's time to qualify for Hollywood Poker.com's current events: Grand Series of Poker 6 and mini 2, GSOP Live in Seville, and be the top of our famed February Omaha Points Race," said Edison M., Poker Room Manager of Hollywood Poker Live. "Everyone is hitting the poker tables faster and harder to qualify for live events like the Greek Poker Tour."
