Ladbrokes Poker & Microgaming Network Merge
February 14, 2009
From today Ladbrokes Poker will be offering its players more liquidity and prize pools. This comes after the full merge of Ladbrokes Poker with the Microgaming poker network.
It was back in August 2008 that Ladbrokes Poker announced they would be merging, their stand-alone online poker site, with the rest of the Microgaming network.
The move has been a strategic one, on Ladbrokes part, in order to better compete with European and US sites and networks.
Ladbrokes Poker is planning to offer a series of promotions to its poker players as part of its new launch, this will include a multi-million dollar promotion where US$1m is paid out every month to 3,000 leading players,
MD of Ladbrokes Poker, Edward Ihre, said "Players will notice little difference to the service, they will remain Ladbrokes customers and can still use all the Ladbrokes features including 3D Poker. The benefit will be that we can offer a greater range of game types and levels as well as the availability of games in Euros for the first time."
Ladbrokes main aim is to ensure its customers have a greater variety and bigger prize pools to choose from. To do so the popular poker operator will continue to support its exclusive events and host its own tournaments in addition to the tournaments offered by Microgaming.
