Online Poker Titan Poker To Host Land Tourneys

Playtech-powered online poker room Titan Poker will sponsor the first of many land based tournaments this May in Madrid, Spain, using its online presence to offer satellites and promote the new series. Qualifying satellites for the Eurocity Poker Tour Madrid Open are already taking place.

The ECPT will be held at the luxurious Casino Gran Madrid with a limited entry field of 200 players. Those who qualify will be winning more than just a place at this event. Titan Poker will be sponsoring the participating players with a generous package valued at $3,000 each. Two round-trip airline tickets from anywhere in Europe to Madrid, accommodations for three nights for themselves and a guest, two dinners and entry to the Euro 1 000 Euro buy-in event will be available to the top players.

Titan hopes to make the land-based events a regular occurrence. "At the rate of our expansion, and considering the number of players we are sending to tournaments every month, it only makes sense that Titan Poker should take it to the next level," said a spokeswoman for the company. "We are already making a huge presence at these tournaments. Now that Titan Poker is the sponsor, it will just be more visible!"
