Party Casino has recently hired a former reality television star and cricket player to be their spokesperson and increase awareness of the casino. Phil Tufnell will handle the online casino's press, advertisements and willtake every opportunity to discuss the casino's games.
Party Casino has just announced Phil Tufnell as their celebrity spokesperson. First known for playing cricket, he later found fame from a reality television show. Party Casino is a branch of PartyGaming, which hopes that the high profile spokesperson will give the online casino a boost in revenue.
Tufnell has the reputation of appealing to both men and women in that he exudes charisma and has a knack for dealing with the media. He will be handling all television advertisements, press issues and will consistently talk about the wide variety of games at Party Casino.
Tufnell acknowledges being impressed by Party Casino and said he enjoyed filming the advertisements. He regards himself as an avid online casino player with an affinity for online poker. He hopes to one day take on Party Poker, another branch of PartyGaming Plc.
The UK reports that online casinos are quickly appealing to the female market as well, who find online gambling safer and more enjoyable than visiting land-based casinos. The Gambling Commission polled 5000 people and found that 9.9 percent of them gambled in the beginning of 2009, an increase from 7.2 percent in 2006. Finally, they found that 7.7 percent of the women polled had tried gambling online at the start of 2009 compared to just 5 percent in 2006.
