PKR Set for $250K High Stakes Championships

PKR Poker has unveiled details of its latest High Stakes Championships, which begins on Saturday, 2 June and features seven tournaments in 15 days. With a combined prize pool estimated at $250,000, it's expected to be the richest High Stakes Championships yet.
With a program of events designed to suit every player, the festival commences with a $100,000 GTD PKR Masters this Saturday at 19:00 GMT. The remaining six events span a variety of poker disciplines, from the $20,000 GTD 6-seater "Terminator to the $50,000 GTD 8-seater "PKR 500 on the final day. There will also be opportunities for players to gain entry to High Stakes Championships tournaments for a fraction of the cost through satellites on the day before each event, with buy-ins from $5.
The High Stakes Championships also offers players the exciting opportunity to win a $4,500 WSOP Experience package, a six-night Las Vegas adventure which includes a WSOP event, luxury hotel accommodation, VIP event schedule and spending money. High Stakes Championships participants will earn leaderboard points for their finishing position in each event, with the leaderboard's eventual first-place finisher awarded the $4,500 WSOP Experience package.

The final tables from three of the seven events will also feature on PKR TV, to be broadcast through PKR's YouTube channel and on the Poker Channel, with hole cards revealed and commentary from Team PKR Pro.
